Machine Gun Kelly Made the Right Move Changing the ‘Tickets To My Downfall’ Album Cover

Machine Gun Kelly’s upcoming album Tickets to My Downfall will look a little bit different than what was originally planned.

MGK dropped the album art and track list for the album and Twitter users immediately pointed out the similarities between his art and a photo from actor Sen Mitsuji.

Mitsuji posted the original photo to his Instagram account back in April with the caption “help I’m bored.”

Shortly after fans pointed out the similarities on social media, Machine Gun Kelly took to Twitter to respond. “Found out that the album cover I released was essentially copied from a photo we do not own,” he wrote.

“I didn’t make this design so I apologize to the original artist. I’m in the process of replacing it right now.”

MGK made the right call in changing the artwork, especially when the original is easily accessible with the side-by-side comparisons plain as day.

The album is set to drop on September 25 and will feature a myriad of collaborators including Travis Barker, blackbear, Halsey, Trippie Redd, and Yungblud.

MGK and blackbear’s video for “My Ex’s Best Friend” recently dropped and it blurs the line between action movie and music video. The song features Kelly playing guitar on top of a flipped over car on a desert highway with blackbear driving a tow truck.
