Now you've done it. Stop being mean to Ed.

Enough is enough! After recieving an overwhelming amount of hate on twitter for his performance at Glastonbury last month in England, Ed Sheeran has gone offline, saying goodbye to all social media.

After being accused of using backing tracks, Sheeran took to twitter to explain that he uses a loop pedal during his performances, "Never thought I'd have to explain it, but everything I do in my live show is live, it's a loop station, not a backing track. Please google x." Even then, the hate came pouring in, telling Sheeran he wasn't worthy of a spot at the annual Glastonbury Festival.

"I go on it (social media) and there's nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter's a platform for that. One comment ruins your day. But that's why i've come off it," said Sheeran.

Sheeran is handing over his social media sites to his management to handle while he takes a step back, saying he doesn't need to use the media to communicate with the people close to him. "I have people like my dad who will have a conversation with me. I don't have to have someone calling me a whatever," said Sheeran.
