Arden Fair in Sacramento plans to reopen for in-store shopping on Friday, May 29, with safety protocols in place.

According to Arden Fair's website, "robust and comprehensive" cleaning is going to take place and social distancing measures will be enforced to ensure the safety and health of its guests and employees upon reopening.

ABC10 reports the mall will reopen at 11 a.m.

Check out their FAQ page for every detail. Here are some of the key points to know:

  • Arden Fair is following CDC guidelines on cleaning and social distancing, and is following local ordinances.
  • Social distancing will be promoted by Arden Fair, and they ask guests to be mindful of space between yourself and other guests in stores, elevators, and escalators. Signage is posted throughout to help with social distancing. If a store looks busy, Arden Fair asks that you return to the store at a later time to practice safe social distancing.
  • Retailers will reopen on a case-by-case basis, so your favorite retailers may or may not be open on the first day of reopening.
  • All mall entrances will be open.
  • Curbside pickup will continue to be available for some retailers and restaurants. (For the list of participating retailers and restaurants, go here.)
  • Wearing masks is recommended. Some retailers might have their own policies requiring you to wear a mask, so be sure to bring one with you.
  • Mall walking is allowed one hour prior to opening.
  • In-mall dining is available at designated tables.

What stores are you excited to shop at again? The one thing about malls that I miss the most is mall walking. I think I'll wait a while to go mall walking again, but it's nice to know that it's available if you absolutely need to get your steps in.
