Golden 1 Center will serve as a voting center for the upcoming November election.

According to a Sacramento County press release, Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections has partnered with the Sacramento Kings to operate Golden 1 Center as a voting center in the 11 days leading up to the Presidential Election on November 3, 2020.

As the largest voting center in the county, Golden 1 Center will allow voters to practice social distancing while providing a space for people to easily practice their voting rights.

Any Sacramento County resident can do the following at the Golden 1 Vote Center:

  • Drop off a completed ballot;
  • Get a new ballot printed to take home;
  • Vote in person;
  • Register to vote;
  • Update your registration;
  • Receive language assistance;
  • Use an accessible ballot marking device to vote

Free parking will also be available to those heading to the Vote Center, at no cost to the county, from Saturday, October 24, through Election Day, November 3.

To operate the Golden 1 Center voting center safely amid the pandemic, here's what election officials will be provided with:

  • Training on new protocols;
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Written, workside specific COVID-19 prevention plans;
  • Contact information for local Public Health Office and info collection directions if a worker tests positive for COVID-19;
  • Cleaning and disinfection protocols;
  • Configuration plans for physical distancing such as traffic flow, physical barriers, etc.
