With different types of businesses beginning to reopen daily and weekly, there's a lot of excitement building up and I can't wait to explore Sacramento.

I moved here in the beginning of the pandemic, so my outings have been limited to 1. My couch, 2. Target, 3. Safeway, and 4. Work. Oh, and the post office, which is super hoppin' at 9 a.m. with zero social distancing going on, but I digress.

As soon as it feels safe for me to go out and explore the Sacramento area, I'll be tackling my post-quarantine to-do list. Below are just some of the things I can't wait to explore in Sacramento.

1. Window shop around and dine in Old Sac.

I have not explored Old Sac as a ghost town during the pandemic, because this seems like a really special place that I need to experience when everthing is open. Restaurants like The Firehouse Restaurant and others are now reopening for dining outside on the patio, which seems lovely. What's your favorite place to eat in Old Sac? What shops do I need to visit?

Great news -- @firehouseoldsac is reopening their dining service this Friday, May 29th from 4 - 6 pm for Happy Hour and from 5 - 9:30 pm for Dinner -- Enjoy food and drinks in their award-winning Courtyard, as well as the Grill and the Main Dining Room, seven nights a week. Head to their page to make your reservations now ✨

2. Explore Fairytale Town...as an adult, by myself. Lol

Okay, I understand that this is for families but I LOVE places like this. It looks so magical and pure! Plus, I heard they have pigs and goats...I'm going for the goats. I don't have kids, so I'll be the weirdo petting animals while people wonder why I'm not off looking for my lost toddler.

3. Weekend mall hangz at Arden Fair and The Galleria.

I keep hearing that The Galleria in Roseville is THE mall to go to (which has reopened), but I'm also really excited that Arden Fair is reopening this week. I'm sure both are great, but where do you like to shop? I can't wait to check out both! I love malls. When I lived in Minneapolis, I lived just 10 minutes away from Mall of America, which is the largest mall in the country. I'd go there at least weekly just to walk around.

Sunday brunch is back at @landoceanrestaurant! Enjoy mimosas and much more. See link in bio for hours and info. #WestfieldGar #Roseville #Brunch

4. Go boating on Folsom Lake.

I grew up on boats, so I'm happy there's a little bit of lake life culture here in Sacramento. I don't own a boat, so I'll have to rent one (or become good friends with someone that owns a really nice boat...wink wink). Do you rent boats? What's your favorite boat rental place that you would recommend?

5. Have brunch at Tower Cafe.

When I lived in Minneapolis, Sunday brunch was my thing. I lived across the street from a great brunch spot and they quickly took me in as one of their "regulars." So now that I'm in Sacramento, and places are beginning to reopen, I'm on the hunt for my new brunch spot. Tower Cafe looks like a top choice. Have you had their Seasonal French Toast?? I saw this on their menu...It's their Famous French Toast topped with seasonal fruit compote (in the photo on their website, it looks like they use peaches) and house-made cinnamon whipped cream. It looks like Heaven on a plate and I cannot wait to try it. What do you usually order from Tower Cafe? Where do you usually have brunch?

What else should I add to my post-quarantine to-do list? Hit me up on Instagram @mollieonair

The thing I miss most about life BC is getting to go mall walking. That’s what I’d do every weekend at #MallofAmerica. I haven’t been to any of the Sacramento area malls yet (obvs). But @ardenfair reopens on Friday and I’m ready to get my mall walk on again! What’s first on your post-quarantine to-do list? #ardenfair #sactown #sacramentoca #reopencalifornia #movecaliforniaforward
