When I got the notification through Netflix that new episodes of Selling Sunset were "coming soon" a few weeks back, I was ecstatic. Because I don't have cable, I rely on Netflix for dramatic reality shows and Selling Sunset definitely gives me my fix.

It's officially out now, and I binged season 2 in one day. I have a few quick thoughts (no spoilers):

  • The drama is completely over-the-top in season 2, more so than the first season. Looking back, season 1 felt very safe and they were testing the waters with this series. I think people loved it so much that they felt they could get a little more creative and fun with season 2. (Fortunately, however, season 3 is coming sooner than you might think!)
  • There's a LOT to catch up on because producers did not film much of what happened in each agents' individual lives. They missed the opportunity to give us at least 20 more episodes of content (and one or two additional seasons) to enjoy, but instead it feels like they're fast-forwarding. They made it work, but I wish I could watch more.
  • If you thought Christine was acting and playing it up for the camera in season 1, just wait until you see season 2. Her outfits get boujee-er and more over-the-top.
  • Real estate nerds will LOVE the homes shown in season 2 as much as the homes in season 1, especially the "cheaper" homes in the Valley.
  • You'll continue to root for the underdog(s). Chrishell is my favorite because she's that down-to-earth brunette who's just trying to do the right thing, but this season has another underdog that really mixes things up.
  • Ending up in the headlines of TMZ is the new "Facebook official" for relationships, apparently. Also, omg. Heather looks just like her boyfriend's ex.

You will judge these people SO hard. At the end of the day though, this is a carefully produced show from the creator of The Hills (via Washington Post), so you're really just judging their TV characters. You will love to hate and hate to love this show, and you won't be able to stop watching.

Have you watched it yet? If you have, I'm always down to talk in-depth on Instagram! DM me @mollieonair
