It's the end of an era for a popular coffee shop in Sacramento due to the pandemic.

According to Fox 40, Oblivion Comics and Coffee is closing its doors permanently due to COVID-19. The shop has been a staple for coffee and comic lovers since winning Downtown Sacramento Foundation's Calling All Dreamers contest back in 2016.

Co-owner Neil Estaris told Fox 40 that the shop has been "a pocket dimension where heroes and villains of the magic universe can coincide and they're free from conflict." But once the pandemic hit, they decided that ultimately it was best to "go our separate ways."

Merch at the shop, located at 1020 11th Street, will be on sale until September 27.
