The Sacramento Zoo plans to reopen June 15 with safety measures and a capacity control plan in place.

According to Fox 40, guests planning to visit the zoo need to reserve tickets online before visiting. Specific time slots and dates on the tickets will help ensure the Sacramento Zoo controls its capacity to practice safe social distancing.

In a statement to Fox 40, Sacramento Zoo Executive Director Jason Jacobs said that since the temporary shutdown began in March, the zoo has introduced several new animals to the zoo like ostrich, alligators, and a new female giraffe.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, June 10, at 12 p.m. on its website. Masks are not required, but I'm here to ask you to PLEASE consider wearing a mask so we can continue to reopen safely!
