A Texas park gate attendant was let go after a viral video showed her screaming at a visitor and falsely accusing him of running her over during a wild 911 call.
Chris Hampshire said he was leaving Cedar Breaks Park at Lake Georgetown Aug. 25 when he "accidentally steered down the wrong exit" and a gate attendant confronted him.
On his YouTube page, Hampshire said the woman told him he couldn't leave and that she was going to call the cops. When Hampshire told her "you can't hold me here," the woman got in front of his vehicle while on the phone with a 911 operator.
In the video, the woman tells the operator she is being run over but the vehicle appears not to move and Hampshire is saying, "No I'm not."
The woman later tells Hampshire he's going to jail for "hurting" and running her over.
Hampshire said he eventually left when park rangers arrived -- who the lady was also seen screaming at in the video. About a mile down the road, responding officers stopped him. He said he was let go after showing the police the video he took of the gate attendant.
Officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers based in Fort Worth said the gate attendant is no longer working at the park.
